| Youth riding lessons begin at
age 5. Riders learn the basics of grooming, safety, guiding the horse, nutrition, and equine history. |
Young riders are slowly introduced to the horse in one-on-one lessons. Not until the rider is secure guiding and stopping the horse will the rider begin group lessons. |

|
| For the beginning equestrian,
stock seat is ridden first. This style provides the riders with a
greater comfort level and sense of security. As the riders become
more confident, a hunt/english saddle may be introduced. |
Young equestrians are initiated to guiding the horse while on lead. Until the rider appears comfortable in the saddle and has grasped the concept of stopping and turning the horse, the horse is kept on lead. |
