The
Australian Cattle Dog is one of the most versatile breed of dogs. The ACD
is an intelligent working dog with strength and endurance while at the same time
being the most loyal and devoted dog a person could ever have as a friend.
Australian
Cattle dogs are very athletic, with the ability to work longer and harder than
most men or horses. These dogs are capable of handling livestock in close
quarters, maneuvering animals with quick and precise calculation. Just as
great at moving animals in open spaces, these dogs will gather ranging livestock
and drive them to any destination with skill and determination.
Most
people are very choosey of their friends and the same can be said of the
Australian Cattle Dog. They develop strong but selective bonds with their
humans and can be trusted to be protective and loyal.
It is
important for a new owner of an ACD to understand they have undertaken a
relationship with a dog that is intelligent and willful, playful and energetic
